Jakarta | It only takes 28 minutes for Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon to get the ticket to the quarter-final of Blibli Indonesia Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000. Playing in Istora Senayan, Jakarta on Thursday (18/7), The Minions sails smooth to the Round of 8 after beating the Indian pair, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty with the score of 21-15 and 21-14.

Kevin/Marcus’s performance has improved in today’s match. The World’s No. 1 pair even started to play more comfortably in attacking the opponents and reduce the number of unforced errors that they made.

“Today we play comfortably, but in the beginning we were still looking for the perfect fit for the match, we were looking on how to play comfortably. Finally in this match we finally made a lot of attacks and reduce the number of unforced errors,” said Marcus Fernaldi Gideon after the match.

Stating a similar comment to Marcus’, Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo also claims that their performance for today has been far improved compared to the last match when they play the Japanese pair, Takuto Inouse/Yuki Kaneko. “Certainly today we have played better than the match yesterday,” said Kevin.

Although they control the game since the beginning of the match, the first seeded pair praises Rankireddy/Shetty’s performance. “They have good attacking plays, the power is strong and today they played really well,” he added.

The Minions still have to wait to find out whether they will play the South Korean pair, Choi Solgyu/Seo Seung Jae or the Chinese pair, Ou Xuan Yi/Zhang Nan in the quarter-final of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000 that will be held tomorrow.
